Unfortunately, “X” is the mark of death for several large trees in the parking lot of the office complex where I work here in Naples, Fla. The building had its water main line break in late January 2023 and it was determined that roots from the trees were at fault. You can see the water main in the photo of the larger tree. The trees are still up today (Saturday, Feb. 4), but will come down soon and each is marked with an “X” or two. I got these shots on Jan. 26 and am just now posting them.
