Here’s one of the few examples of closed captioning being correct, so I’ll make sure I post news of such an achievement. For closed captioning is usually the idiot service making comical and insulting mistakes. However, once in a while, Comcast makes the error while closed captioning is correct. In this case, it is for an episode of “Highway Patrol” (Season 3, Episode 1 – “The Hypo Bandit”). The closed captioning has the word “hypo” correct as the criminal in the story uses a hypodermic syringe to incapacitate his victims with a drug. However, Comcast has to go the stupid route and title it the “Hypno Bandit.” No, Comcast, the bad guy isn’t a hypnotist … he uses a hypodermic needle. Ah, well, stupid is as stupid does.
