Today’s “must” movie is “Bachelor Party” and it stars the one-and-only and incomparable Tom Hanks! Yes, Mr. Hanks did a totally gross-out comedy that isn’t just fall-down funny, it is as much a comedy classic in my mind as “National Lampoon’s Animal House,” “Caddyshack” or even “The Hollywood Knights” or “Porky’s.” BTW … thanks, Tom … just like “thanks” for your wonderful episode on “The Love Boat” as “Gopher’s” fraternity brother!
Obviously, Hanks is getting married and his friends have a variety of needs to throw him his “Bachelor Party.” From over-sexed singles to his married brother needing a night out with hookers, booze and drugs, Hanks navigates it all with aplomb and makes you keep laughing in just about every scene.
“Bachelor Party” has all the sins from putting your future father-in-law in bed with prostitutes and taking photos of this indiscretion; to the party featuring not just drugs and alcohol, but also a “magical” sexual … mule that snorts cocaine and winds hooves-up in an elevator! Beastiality! Who’d a thought it possible in a Tom Hanks film? 😊
I found one of the most hilarious scenes of “Bachelor Party” in the one while Hanks, his fiancée and her parents are playing tennis on the parents’ court. Hanks keeps hitting balls with a baseball swing and knocking them over the screen. You need to see it in context to get the full enjoyment of the humor.
You won’t have any trouble finding “Bachelor Party,” but make sure you get the original and not an edited copy. So, check “Bachelor Party” out today! You won’t be disappointed. I guarantee it!
