It’s hot! Birds haven’t been hitting the feeder as much in recent days!

Where’s an ornithologist when you need one? I noticed that the seed in our bird feeder just outside our patio hasn’t been ravaged much in recent days. Hmmm … usually, birds are having their fill and I’m refilling the feeder quite frequently. I wonder if it is the heat? I did a Google search and one poster noted the feeder should be out of direct sunlight or that the seed may has spoiled in the heat. I dumped the old seed and put new in the feeder after I took this photo at our home in Naples, Fla., on July 23, 2023.
