After getting a nice photo of today’s sunset (Friday, Aug. 18, 2023), I was on an even later errand to get gas for the family truckster when I spied this wonderful sliver of a setting moon to the west. Unfortunately, my iPhone isn’t a great camera for getting this kind of shot – I should have had my Nikon DSLR. However, you can see the interesting moon, but it is larger than your eye would have viewed it because I got the shot through the windshield of my vehicle. Of course, I’m in Naples, Fla., and got the shot near our home. (Remember: Click on the small image for a bigger version – then click on that one for the full-size photo.)
