Something missing? Nope … USPS-marked vehicles not required to have a license plate

Is there something missing from this USPS vehicle? Well, it doesn’t have any license plate (tag or whatever you might call it), but that’s not unusual. The USPS has an exemption from being required to have a license plate as long as the vehicle is clearly marked as being one of the USPS fleet – click here to read about the exemption. I got this shot yesterday (Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2023) as I drove home from work here in Naples, Fla.
