Today, June 21, 2024, is World Giraffe Day and it is a day to celebrate and expand the world’s attention on the Earth’s giraffe population. It was established by the Giraffe Conservation Foundation and is celebrated on the June solstice each year. I got these shots of a mother and young giraffe during a visit to Walt Disney World in November 2013. I got the shot with my Nikon DSLR while we were on the Kilimanjaro Safaris ride at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. So, today, remember the giraffe!
