OK, here’s a warning: After having your vehicle repaired, keep an eye on the area(s) that were fixed … you might be surprised earlier than you’d want to believe. Here are two spots on the trunk lid of my car … on top of the trunk is cracked paint, while on the edge and slightly below is a bubbled-up rust spot breaking through. Both areas were repaired and repainted after my vehicle was in a crash in the fall of 2022. Now, I have to take the car back to the shop so they can inspect the problem to see if it qualifies for free warranty repair. Sigh. Such a fix should last longer than 21 months. So, my warning is for you to keep an eye out after such a repair or any paint work done on any surface in your life. Oh, yes, the shop can’t see me for the inspection until mid-July. Sigh and Sigh again. I got this shot at our home here in Naples, Fla., on June 19, 2024. I’m not naming the shop because 1) these things can happen and 2) I need to see how it all turns out.
