We received our mail-in ballots for the upcoming election in August 2024. The election is a reminder of the importance to our United States of America that it is a civic duty to vote. I’m not entering into any political discussion (you can find a mountain of that elsewhere), but just reminding everyone of that civic duty. I’m not trying to put myself up on a pedestal, but I’ve voted in every single election to which I was eligible since my first in 1976, with the exception of a primary election in 1988 when I was recovering from knee surgery and didn’t have a chance to get a mail-in ballot. I got this shot at our home here in Naples, Fla., on July 18, 2024 and need to note that I erased identifying marks on the forms for my privacy.
