School is back in session here in Southwest Florida and I saw this morning in Naples that some cretins still cannot drive within the speed limit of a school zone! A big thanks to both the Florida Highway Patrol and the Collier County Sheriff’s Office for traffic enforcement this morning (Thursday, Aug. 15, 2024) in front of Pelican Marsh Elementary here in North Naples. A CCSO patrol cruiser was in the median and this FHP vehicle had an offender stopped. It’s the first time I’ve seen the FHP at the school as the CCSO typically handles enforcement there. Drivers need to think: the school zone extends PAST the traffic signal at the entrance. I hope this fool learned his or her lesson today.
