So, do we have a case of long, long term parking or as Bill Murray said in the film “Stripes,” “We’re not parking it, we’re abandoning it.” It’s anyone’s guess. I frequently visit the Headquarters branch of the Collier County Public Library and for at least the past month, this pickup truck has been parked in the same spot midway in the shared parking lot between the library branch and the North Collier Government Center. Weekdays. Weekends. It doesn’t matter … it’s been there for quite some time. Since it has a license tag, I can’t tell if someone needs to park in that same spot daily and throughout each day or if it is abandoned. I got this shot this morning (Friday, Nov. 8, 2024) as I ran an early morning errand near our home here in Naples, Fla.
