Here’s the new home for my oldest memento from my day at the University of Florida. The Gator has a few chips and a foot glued back on, but, being 46 years old, is in great shape. Our family just acquired a new SUV and now I’ve moved over to a different vehicle. It had plates from F$Ucks (my wife is a Seminole alumnus), but a new Gator plate appeared by 9:05 a.m. the morning after we got the new SUV. The other memento that I bought the same year (1979) as the Gator is a mug with the university seal and it is a “desk buddy” at home. I got this shot today (Wednesday, July 9, 2025) at our home here in Naples, Fla.
