A departed family member always circled each Oct. 10 on her calendar as the day that there would be a break in Southwest Florida’s oppressive heat from throughout the summer. Well, over the past week she has been proven correct again. Instead of temperatures starting around 77, we saw thermometers showing a temperature of 68 degrees in the early morning! I got this shot yesterday (Oct. 16, 2025) of my vehicle’s dashboard readout. Welcome back, cooler weather!
