It’s time for overdue maintenance on my Rolex Submariner and that means I’ll be without my favorite wristwatch for longer than a month. Since I’m old-fashioned and still rely on a wristwatch and not my iPhone, I bought a fill-in watch: A Casio MDV106-1A sports model. My Rolex just turned 22 years old and this will be the longest it has been off my wrist since I bought it. However, it appears from the first hours of wearing it that the Casio will fill in just fine. I got this shot at our home here in Naples, Fla., today (Wednesday, March 4, 2026).
