Today, St. Patrick’s Day 2026 (Tuesday, March 17), continued at lunch with this wonderful Reuben sandwich from Jason’s Deli that’s near our home here in North Naples, Fla. The sandwich, with its pile of corned beef, is pretty much synonymous with St. Patrick’s Day and Ireland’s patron Saint Patrick. I started out the day with Irish Breakfast blend tea and moved on to the Reuben! The sandwich has a half-pound of corned beef, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut and Thousand Island dressing on top. Wow! BTW … I had half for lunch and will have the other half for dinner. PS: The abbreviated “St.” for Saint is the writing style that used to be from the Associated Press. Old habits die hard!
