The heat index (or “feels like”) temperature pushed over 100 degrees today (Wednesday, June 17, 2026) at our home here in Naples, Fla. We have a small device that measures both indoor and outdoor temperatures and humidity. At 4:17 p.m., the device showed the heat index outside as 104.5 degrees; the “official” temperature of 92.4 degrees; and the humidity at 59 percent. By anyone’s standard, it was a hot afternoon in June here in Southwest Florida.
