Today in 2026, it is the Fourth of July and is the 250th anniversary of the United States’ Independence Day. Although other traditional holidays such as Memorial Day and Labor Day have come to mean more as a day off from work than their original meaning, the Fourth of July is mostly recognized for our country’s independence and a celebration of our great form of government. So, HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY and all its history for our United States of America. I’m repurposing an image from a Fourth of July at our home here in Naples, Fla., in 2022.
