One of our more infrequent visitors to our BirdBuddy smart bird feeder at our home here in Naples, Fla. is a northern cardinal (Cardinalis cardinalis). Well, on Sept. 9, 2026, we had our latest cardinal arrive and it was a male northern cardinal. In all, we’ve had five different types of birds at our BirdBuddy smart feeder. I captured this image off the BirdBuddy app via my iPhone.
