Ah, the joy of picking up a crayon and doing some “coloring.” Just about every child has done “coloring” and it offers a chance for unbridled creativity! Well, every Sept. 14 is national Coloring Day and today is (guess what?) … national Coloring Day for 2026. It is not to be confused with national Coloring Book Day, which is celebrated each Aug. 2. As my visual for this post, I’m using a photo of one of our granddaughters as she “colors” at her home in Tennessee. Online resources note: “This annual event celebrates the simple, stress-reducing joy of adding color to the world. Whether you prefer crayons, markers, or digital palettes, dedicate some time to express yourself and discover the therapeutic benefits of coloring.” (Remember: Click on the small image for a bigger version – then click on that one for the full-size photo.)
