My alphabetical posting of suggested films continues today with “Joe Kidd” starring Clint Eastwood. Here is what you’d call your basic Western by Clint. He’s the good guy, but he’s a bit bad as “Joe Kidd;” he does good, but he starts out as a bounty hunter; and, like all good westerns, the good guy wins, while the bad guy loses in a most dramatic fashion. “Joe Kidd” is a little different from many of Clint’s ventures because he has Robert Duvall as a somewhat co-star. Now, Duvall wasn’t a megastar when “Joe Kidd” was released, but he is certainly an A-list actor. So, if you like Clint or Westerns in general, you’ll really like “Joe Kidd.”
I’m posting all my film reviews in alphabetical order and I’ve updated links and more on many of the reviews. Below is the link back to the full review.
