D.C. visit 2018: My first visit to the World War II Memorial

I got my first look at the national World War II Memorial on Aug. 14, 2018, during our multi-day visit to our nation’s capital. Here’s your basic photo showing much of the memorial. The view is looking at the Atlantic side of the memorial – the Pacific is behind me as I took this photo – and to the left down the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool is the, of course, Lincoln Memorial. (Remember: Click on the image for a bigger version – then click on that one for the full-size photo.)
