My movie suggestion today is … to watch “Mannequin.” Yes, I typed “watch it.” “Mannequin” is a horrible film, but it is worth watching because … well, it’s so bad that you somehow must watch it. The only actor doing any good work is by the late Meshach Taylor as “Hollywood,” although his character is so stereotypical of the day of the movie that it just looks embarrassing today – although Meshach does an admirable and memorable job. “Mannequin” is the story of … well, who cares? The plot is stupid; the dialogue is almost incoherent; and the acting stinks. But, “Mannequin” still has a pre-“Sex and the City” and post “Porky’s” Kim Cattrell as the mannequin that comes to life.
