Retro Disney favorite photos: ‘Electrical Mickey’ is a good sight, then a not-so-good one

As we won’t be back at Walt Disney World for some time – between the coronavirus alert and the fact that our annual passes expired and we haven’t renewed – I’ve been posting some of my “favorites” from our photos taken at WDW over the years. Today’s re-post is from 2013 and it is of the best sight going to WDW and the worst leaving it: the “electrical Mickey” tower. Here’s the original caption: “Allison always snaps a shot of this Mickey-shaped power line tower as we arrive (yea!) and we leave (boo!) Walt Disney World. Drivers eastbound on Interstate 4 will see it just before their exit to fun, while westbound drivers are headed away from Disney World (it is just west of main exits to the parks and resorts). Allison grabbed this shot in September 2013.” (Remember: Click on the image for a bigger version – then click on that one for the full-size photo.)
