As we won’t be back at Walt Disney World for some time – between the coronavirus alert and the fact that our annual passes expired and we haven’t renewed – I’ve been posting some of my “favorites” from our photos taken at WDW over the years. Today’s re-post is from 2013 and it shows the spot of an historical comment by a U.S. president: Richard M. Nixon declared “I’m not a crook” in 1973 while at a press conference at the Contemporary resort at Walt Disney World. The original caption: “Here’s a shot I grabbed of the Contemporary resort at Walt Disney World in September 2013 from a Disney boat headed to the Wilderness Lodge. The A-frame Contemporary tower has been joined by the Disney Vacation Club’s Bay Lake Tower (you can see it in the background) and the tower, of course, has the monorail running through it.” So, this is a most historical spot in U.S. history!
