Try this flick … “Breaking Away.” With the Christmas season behind us, here’s my next movie recommendation: “Breaking Away.” It’s the coming-of-age tale of a bunch of college town boys who are not into college. Their ostensible center is a bicycle-crazy teen who keeps his personal time to his own pace – much to the dismay of his father. “Breaking Away” is a bicycle-themed flick (and there are not a ton of those around), but it is more of the coming-of-age story than anything else. Of course, “Breaking Away” winds up just fine for just about everyone … but you’ll stand up and cheer despite the saccharine climax and the interesting denouement!
So, I’m doing a sometimes recommendation of a movie or TV show … and they’re all movies or TV shows that I’ve reviewed on this blog.
