Early voting has begun here in Collier County, Fla., for the upcoming general election on Nov. 8. The Collier County Supervisor of Elections has poll locations open for the early voting and voters do get a no-soliciting zone away from candidates’ supporters who wave signs and greet voters as they arrive. Florida law states no solicitation inside polling areas or 150 feet from the polling station’s entrance. Here’s a no-solicitation barrier at the Headquarters branch of the Collier County Public Library. I took the photo on Oct. 29, 2022, during a visit to the branch library.
