On your home big screen: ‘Back to the Beach’ … it’s winter, but let’s head to the surf and sand!

Looking on the big screen at your home as we start to close out 2022 … I’m going with an out-of-season piece of rollicking fun: “Back to the Beach” from 1987. The movie reunites “Frankie” and “Annette” and they were the signature of the emerging beach culture in the 1960s. What’s best about “Back to the Beach” is that it revives Frankie and Annette, but also brings to the big screen one more time a bunch of TV stars everyone over the age of 40 should recognize. “Back to the Beach” doesn’t have much of a plot, but it doesn’t need one. It has the beach; it has the music; and it has Frankie and Annette! Oh, “Frankie” isn’t “Frankie” in “Back to the Beach” because of a legal thing … he’s the “Big Kahuna!

You shouldn’t have any trouble bringing “Back to the Beach” to your home “big screen” … I have it on DVD, so it is really easy without having to search the movie networks or streaming services. If you want, you can also find “Beach Party,” which is the original. So, grab your board and head “Back to the Beach!”
