Unless you’re following the Orthodox calendar, Jan. 19 is an odd date to discard a wreath

Unless you’re following the Orthodox calendar of Christmas on this past Jan. 7, 2023, or the New Year on Jan. 14, then today was a strange day to toss out a holiday wreath. It was even made odder still since this wreath was left leaning against a wall at the professional building where I work in Naples, Fla. It was a real wreath, as you can see by the needles on the sidewalk. Ah well, it was an interesting scene to start work today on Jan. 19.
