If you have checked out my blog in the past, you’ll know that I enjoy posting photographs of contrails. I guess that I remember seeing black-and-white photos of the air war over Germany in World War II and thought that the contrails made by the Boeing B-17 Fortresses, other bombers such as the Consolidated B-24 Liberator and the nimble fighter planes of both sides such as the U.S. North American P-51 Mustang looked really cool. Well, as I headed to work this morning (Wednesday, July 12, 2023), I saw the remnants of one over our neighborhood here in Naples, Fla.
