Sorry that this isn’t a better photo, but the point of focus is the rain on my windshield and not the subject matter: An FPL truck. On Friday (Aug. 2, 2024), I posted a criticism about electricity going out in our neighborhood and Tropical Storm Debby hadn’t arrived. Well, if I criticize, I also have to give props when something good happens. I was driving this morning (Sunday, Aug. 4) when I saw a transform blow near our home here in Naples, Fla. There were two large flashes of light when the electrical circuit was breached on a pole. Well, in less than 30 minutes, FPL was on the scene. I’m sure the folks living near that explosion and resulting loss of power were happy with the rapid response.
