I’m not a fan of those online posts about “life hacks” or “10 best” or any kind of list. However, I want to comment today about one of the most useful gadgets I’ve ever used. This is a Lamicall S1 phone stand. First, it is the most useful and ubiquitous desk stand that I have ever used. It was given to me several years ago as a Christmas gift from our daughter and son-in-law. I’ve used it every day since. Second, it’s wonderful sleek design is eye-catching due to its function and simplicity. I got this shot at my desk at our home here in Naples, Fla., this morning (Wednesday, April 15, 2026).
