Welcome back to my blog. Here’s my recommendation of a movie to check out today and hope you punch your “Ticket to the Movies!” OK, today, I’m back in the land of comedy with “Cheaper by the Dozen 2” with Steve Martin, Bonnie Hunt and Eugene Levy. I like this one a whole bunch because it’s a true “family film” with no violence, profanity or malevolence from the characters.

“Cheaper by the Dozen 2” is a sequel and it’s a sequel done correctly. It follows the same family from the first, which was a reboot of the original from 1950. Disney put out a version of the original in 2022, but I’m not going to visit that one any time soon.

“Cheaper by the Dozen 2” is the story of the Baker family and their vacation to “the lake” and it takes an emotional turn when the Bakers run into the family of the man who is pretty much the nemesis of Martin. Levy is simply wonderful as the arrogant, egotistical rich man, whose existence is continually assaulted by what he considers to be the hoi polloi, represented by Martin’s family.

Of course, the stereotypes abound in “Cheaper by the Dozen 2,” but you won’t mind. The families and their interactions are decently plotted and executed and you will leave with a smile after watching the film.

I don’t want to write much more today about “Cheaper by the Dozen 2” because that might spoil a few  of the endearing scenes.

So, I say punch your “Ticket to the Movies!” and you can find “Cheaper by the Dozen 2” on Disney+ as well as for rent on several other streaming platforms. So, find it! Watch it! Don’t worry, you’ll thank me later for “Cheaper by the Dozen 2.”
