Each year on the second Friday of July, you’ll find it is national French Fry Day! Yes, the “holiday” falls on each second Friday in each July today is July 10, 2026, and that makes it the second Friday in July. I’ve begun using an air fryer as a quick, convenient way to prepare store-bought frozen fries, but you might prefer to cut potatoes yourself and then go the deep-frying route. It’s more traditional! I got this shot here at our home in Naples, Fla., on July 11, 2025, for last year’s celebration and the ketchup is ready … unless you’re in Holland and enjoy mayonnaise (a la the “Pulp Fiction” scene between John Travolta and Samuel L. Jackson). (Remember: Click on the small image for a bigger version – then click on that one for the full-size photo.)
