I photographed and posted a photo of the “dark heart” of a Southwest Florida thunderstorm a decade ago, so today’s photo is a “dark heart-light!” The summer rainy season is upon Southwest Florida and, thankfully after a drought season, we’re seeing a pattern of steady rain. I captured this photo from a cam in my vehicle as I drove on an errand today (July 22, 2026). The spot I took today’s photo is just about the same as from where I took the other photo in 2015.
