“Buster Poindexter” (in life, the late David Johansen) is the unofficial patron saint of south Florida because in each August, it is HOT HOT HOT! Yes, his signature song describes a day with an overcast late afternoon where the outside “heat index” was at 101.1 degrees just before 5:30 p.m. EDT at our home here in Naples. Dang! As a native of South Florida, I love the heat, but August always challenges. I took this photo of our weather station read-out at my desk. PS: I enjoyed Johansen’s work in the film “Let It Ride” with Richard Dreyfuss!
