Ticket to the Movies: ‘Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins’ is simply pure crap

Welcome back to my blog. Here’s my recommendation of a movie to check out today and hope you punch your “Ticket to the Movies!” OK, let’s again draw from the well of absolutely horrible films with a gold-medal finalist called “Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins” with Fred Ward and Joel Grey, who embarrasses himself, the audience and the rest of our planet by playing a Korean martial arts master who literally walks on water.

“Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins” is so bad that its producers should have been presented an honorary Oscar for NOT having made a sequel. The film is just simply part of the gold standard of examples of pitiful, incompetent American cinema.

OK, then! Let me stop praising it!

“Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins” is taken from a series of action-thriller novels published beginning in the 1970s and featured a specially-trained killer who enforced making sure the U.S. Constitution was not damaged. The novels are shallow, but the translation of the film to the big screen – especially Grey’s steaming pile of an effort – just makes you wince.

I don’t need to explain the plot any further, as you’ll lose enough brain cells just watching this monstrosity of incompetence. Besides, the plot doesn’t really matter, because you’ll probably need to use the facilities more than once if you choose to inflict “Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins” on yourself.

Let me cut off any more narrative and just say that none of the primary cast (and certainly none of the supporting cast) do work worthy of mentioning in this brief synopsis. You can check out my full review for other details.

So, I say punch your “Ticket to the Movies!” and, if you want a challenge to keep lunch or dinner down, watch “Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins.” It is available for free on one service and you can make the mistake of paying to rent it on other platforms. You will thank me later (for suggesting a barf bag) if you find and watch “Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins.”
