Well, here is my final blog post about the election year of 2026! Today is Nov. 3 and it is the day all polls are open for registered voters to meet the challenge of the call of their civic duty. Of course, there are mail-in ballots and early voting that is efficient and expertly organized by the Collier County Supervisor of Elections Office. Other than choosing who will lead our country (from the U.S. Senate race) to our state (governor) and here at home in Naples, Fla., the best thing will be the end of this year’s avalanche of political advertisements from tee-vee to podcasts to the crap shoved in our mailboxes. I’ve curated this photo showing the last piece of political advertisements to land in our mailbox yesterday. Good riddance to all the ads. Oh, and I blocked the ad in the photo because I do not make political comments or support any individual candidate on my blog.
