2021’s Atlantic Hurricane season began several days ago … of course, there’s a system out there!

I didn’t want to jinx the 2021 Atlantic Hurricane season by touting the fact that it started early this year on May 15. However, there’s already a disturbance in the Atlantic, but, thankfully, south Florida is far out of its reach. The Atlantic Hurricane season had traditionally began each June 1, but the National Hurricane Center decided that, because of the predictions of an above-active season for 2021, the new one would begin May 15. Sigh. Well, here we go. This image shows the predicted path of a system that is expected to form northeast of Bermuda and turn back toward the U.S. Click here for updates from the NHC … (Remember: Click on the small image for a bigger version – then click on that one for the full-size photo.)
